Height 11.5 inches (29 cm). Base Width 5.5 inches (14 cm). Base Depth 5 inches (12.7 cm). This is an excellent rendition of the Taoist deity the Solar Stellar Lord one of the Important Deities in the Heavenly Realm that provides the direct Blessings for All Beings in the Mortal World.
This is a classical rendition of the Sun God, the Yang energy of the Yin Yang. At the center of baht kua is the ying-yang symbol -the yang the male half represents - Heaven, Sun, Light, Action, Penetration and Oneness. The emblem of Yang is the dragon and his. Throne has the stylized gold dragons on each arm.The sun deity is presented. With his face, body and hair all red and he holds a sun disk with the character Sun/Day. The sun god is wearing gold robes and sitting on a chair throne delicately painted. This deity is shown to be able to look straight into the heart of all things by the round wide staring eyes that see the true nature of a thing. His fierce expression provide protection from all evils. This Qing dynasty statue is in great condition some imperfections here and there in the finish, his hair is in excellent condition and his features are painstakingly rendered. The pom-poms emitting from his hat are original truly a piece of art. He is an impressive figure -11 ½ tall and about 5 ½ wide by 5 inches deep. The veneration it has received covers this 19.
